Request for UTHSC Business Xythos Account
Xythos is a secure "digital locker" or file server that may be used to upload documents for emailing or sharing. When using Xythos to email a document, a user would upload the document to their Xythos account and use Xythos to generate the email. Xythos then creates a link to the document and emails that link, rather than emailing the actual attachment. If the person receiving the document is also a Xythos user, then your Xythos document will simply be set to allow the recipient to share that document.
The advantages are
- the document is accessed via a secure web link rather than being sent over the Internet in "clear text"
- the document is not included in the email as an actual attachment making the size of the message much smaller
